Cloud Lake Technology is looking to hire a Virtualization SME to join our team! In this role, you will be responsible for planning & transitioning our client’s legacy network infrastructure to private clouds. You will perform O&M of the private clouds post transition.
Duties & Responsibilities
Work with the PM and Architect to transition functionality from legacy equipment to the organizations’ private clouds.
Install, configure and manage customers’ Virtualization products like Microsoft Hyper V and VMWare.
Provide Network Operation and Sustainment support for the virtualization environment
Develop and maintain standard operating procedures for private cloud environments
Diagnoses and troubleshoots problems with the private cloud environments and implements: cloud services support, cloud operations, and security all private cloud operations
Evaluates products and upgrades for appropriateness.
Executes tasks defined in the cloud computing project plans, schedules, design, development, integration, securing, documentation and deployment of using best practices in cloud computing methodologies and standards
Assist in the discovery process by capturing legacy requirements that must be transitioned to the cloud environments.
Develop and implements functionality based on provided guidance and requirements for private cloud services
Establish and comply with organizational standards and frameworks in creating and maintaining private cloud environments
Post development activities include Operations and Management (O&M) support. Compliance with all CM processes and procedures as elements evolved from dev to test to prod.
Collect and provide data/metrics that support any required SLA, MOU and MOAs
Assesses the alignment of network engineering design principles/trends with desired mission strategies and objectives, concept of operations, business processes, and technology standards
Coordinates with change management in collaboration with organizational cloud services governance
Serves as cloud service virtualization administrator and manages all cloud virtualization services with commitment to implementing best practices in optimization, quality assurance cloud architecture, design, engineering, testing and implementation
Monitors and manages cloud network operations and infrastructure services according to requirements specified in agreements with customer and stakeholders
Bachelor’s degree in technical discipline or equivalent
Active DoD Secret Clearance is requiredActive DoD Secret Clearance is required
Minimum of five (5) years IT/DevOps experience
Virtualization Experience - design, implement, and manage networks
Demonstrated various operating systems administration skills
Ability to work flexible hours and be on-call
Ability to do limited travel (0 - 4 times a year)
Experience working with various Virtualization platforms a plus
At least one (1) advanced or expert VMware / Microsoft certification like: VCIX-NV or VCDX-NV or MCITP certifications are a plus
Virtual platform network skills and demonstrated experience in a complex network is a plus
Windows ##, RedHat and Ubuntu O/S experience a plus
Experience with various operating system versions.
.Net experience a plus
Experience working in the Agile methodology
Experience working Application Development and Operations teams
PowerShell script or equivalent demonstrated experience
Experience with software development tools
