Support Specialist- Messaging and Collaboration

As a Senior Support Specialist at Capital One you can accomplish these things and more in one of the largest, most analytically sophisticated banks in the world. As a Senior Support Specialist you will be responsible for coordinating production support activities for all major systems and related subsystems. Your role is critical to ensuring the integrity of computer-generated data. As an essential member of the team, your responsibilities involve a deep technical understanding of architecture and environments supported.
Responsibilities of a Senior Support Specialist consist of:
Troubleshooting problems, involving the appropriate resources and making fixes as quickly as possible
Coordinating job scheduling and report distribution while contributing to data center standards, development and enforcement
Setting up scheduled production runs ensuring that the appropriate databases, files, job control language (JCL) and documentation are available
Coordinating activities with the computer operations department and user departments to ensure the integrity of the production environment
Participating in system design improvements and performance enhancements
Owning all aspects of service delivery
High School Diploma, GED or Equivalent Certification or military experience
At least 3 Years of IT experience
At least 1 year of experience in ITIL processes
At least 1 year of experience in Networking, WEB, Hardware, Software, or Data Center
Bachelors Degree in Business Administration or Information Technology
1+ year of experience in ITIL processes
2+ years of experience in Application development
