In this role the Accounting Analyst will work directly with the accounting project manager to support key accounting systems and applications. Responsibilities include daily financial balancing of our company’s operating systems, and participation in cross-functional projects to insure accounting needs are supported within new or existing system development.

Responsibilities:

PRIMARY DUTIES

  • Perform daily financial balancing of key insurance systems.

  • Analyze and troubleshoot difficulties regarding insurance payments and pass through applications

  • Participate in the support of key Accounting applications

  • Acquire knowledge of business activities, operating processes, system interactions and system interfaces

  • Participate in internal (Accounting) and external projects.

  • Participate in system testing by validating that business rules and requirements have been met

  • Strong ability to meet target deadlines and manage time effectively.

  • Assist with the implementation of business enhancement solutions and process improvements.

Qualifications:

MINIMUM EDUCATIONAL/EXPERIENCE QUALIFICATIONS

  • Associate’s degree in field of business or equivalent work experience

  • Proficient in use of Microsoft Office software (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, OneNote)

  • Minimum of 5 years office environment experience

  • Bookkeeping or basic accounting experience.
