The selectee for this position will serve as a SECURITY SPECIALIST in the G-6 COMMUNICATION ELECTRONICS DIVISION, HEADQUARTERS SECTION of MARINE CORPS BASE QUANTICO.

The successful selectee will perform the following duties:
- Manage the Electronic Key Management System (EKMS) to support the organization in protecting a variety of classified national defense communications information, equipment, and material.
- Maintain records of security actions, activities, and incidents in various databases and records management systems.
- Perform Information Security assessments by analyzing program data.
- Verify security violations are investigate and reported.
- Identify developmental or training needs of personnel to confirm the unit remains at the peak of readiness.
Occasional travel - You may be expected to travel for this position.

Must be able to obtain an interim and/or final top secret/SCI security clearance prior to entrance on duty AND must be able to maintain the required level of clearance while employed in the subject position. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
Successful completion of a pre-employment drug test is required. A tentative offer of employment will be rescinded if the applicant fails to report to the scheduled drug test appointment. Incumbents of drug testing designated positions will be subject to random testing. Drug test results will be provided to the employing activity/command.
This position may require travel from normal duty station for training, conferencing, and seminars. Travel approximately 10%.
Must be able to complete and successfully pass the EKMS Course of Instructions (COI). Must be certified for the proficient in the new Phases of EKMS as they become available (i.e. system changes and EKMS rules and regulations changes for those Phases). Must have a broad familiarity of the Data Transfer Devices (DTD)'s programs.
Call-in to work for emergencies outside of normal duty hours will be expected of the position.

OR Have a Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree OR Have ?3 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree OR LL.M., if related
