Full Time, Days
Clinical resource in a defined aspect of nursing. Serves as an educator, consultant, mentor for staff in defined areas/departments. Collaborates with unit leadership for outcomes management process for defined areas. May coordinate central orientation classes and assists with unit-based orientation activities. Supports system and hospital projects and initiatives. Assumes operational responsibility for the development of patient and staff education within designated center(s) population(s). May require off-shift education sessions.
Qualifications:
Graduate from an accredited registered nursing program, BSN required.
Minimum of one-year teaching experience preferred with three yearsdemonstrated competency in nursing.
Must be currently licensed to practice as an RN by the Commonwealth of Virginia.
Current BLS required.
Demonstrates knowledge and experience of adult learning principles, program and curriculum development and ability to use a variety of teaching methodologies considering different learning styles of diverse populations.
