Job Description: Raytheon is seeking a Systems Engineer to be part of a team that provides life-cycle management of an IT infrastructure. The team operates and sustains data operations for a system that ingests, tags and audits data sets while maintaining the security, integrity and availability of that data. The Operations and Sustainment (O&S) team will work with the customer and development teams to improve effective and efficient fielding and sustainment of the deployed system's capabilities. The O&S team will apply best-practices toward continuous process improvement to ensure a reliable, flexible, accountable, cost-effective and secure computing environment.
This position is tentative based on contract award.

Responsibilities will include:

• Support the delivery of new capabilities being readied for deployment into the production environment.




• Support to Deployment Readiness Reviews (DRRs) and Operational Readiness Reviews (ORRs).




• Load infrastructure software, and updating records and artifacts in the CM database.




• Update training materials, design documentation, software, code scripts and supportability plans. Ensures the stability, integrity and efficient operation of systems.




• Applies communication, analytic and problem-solving skills to identify, communicate and resolve issues. Evaluates current systems.




• Works on problems where analysis of situation requires in-depth evaluation of various factors.




• Assist and advises customer with technical design support to system acquisition specification, design, proof-of-concept prototyping, development and evaluation of management information and decision support systems.




• Maintains current knowledge of relevant hardware and software applications as assigned




• Participates in special projects as requiredRequired Skills:




• Current and Active ISSA TS/SCI Security Clearance with Full Scope polygraph




• Requires a minimum of 4+ years relevant experience




• Understanding of industry standard system architecture tools




• Solid understanding of systems security




• Solid understanding of software testing methodologies




• Proficiency with MS Office Applications




• Working knowledge of VMware Suite, Enterprise Management and Auditing tools




• Must be able to work collaboratively across agencies and physical locations




• Experience managing technology strategy / roadmap.




• Possess good communication skills, both oral and written. Must work well in a team environment as well as independently.




• Must exhibit good time management skills, independent decision making capability; focus on customer service.




• Ability to work with the other technical members of the team to administer and support the overall program.
  Desired Skills:




• 6+ years of experience




• Experience supporting Intelligence or DoD




• Understanding of Certification and Accreditation (ICD 503/DCID 6/3) processes as they apply to systems engineering lifecycles




• Experience with Risk and Opportunity management




• Experience with Network architecture and design




• Experience with process development and deployment




• Excellent writing skills

Required Education (including Major):

• Bachelors Degree in Systems Engineering, Software Engineering, Computer Science or a related technical discipline. 12 years of relevant experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
