Job Description This position is for a Software Engineer to work on an Agile development team for the program. Software Engineers will be involved in all phases of the software engineering process including capability definition, design, development, test, and demonstration during 30 day sprints. Software Engineers must be able to communicate effectively with the team at daily scrums to work through road blocks to resolve issues quickly. In addition to working sprint activities, Software Engineers will also be required to support the O&S team troubleshoot issues with the production system and fix production defects for delivery in a sprint release. This position is based out of Herndon, VA.
Applicants selected will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.
Basic Qualifications Familiarity with Agile and Scrum methodologies
Ability to communicate effectively and work in a collaborative environment
Java and Java script development
Java EE development
Experience with Java EE servers (WebLogic, JBoss, Glassfish)
Ability to implement standards-based Web services (OGC, SOAP, XML etc)
Database (Oracle), ArcSDE
Desired skills Experience with Web servers (Apache)
Scripting languages (PHP, Perl, Python)
Familiarity with the geospatial domain and technologies (Google Earth, Google Maps, ArcGIS, OpenLayers, WMS, WFS, KML)
Security Clearance TS/SCI
