Battle Resource Management, Inc. Internal Risk & Controls Project Manager in Herndon, Virginia

We are hiring a self-motivated Project Manager with extensive experience managing a variety of controls related projects with a small, geographically disbursed group. We are looking for a creative and dedicated individual who will fit with our fast paced culture. We would like assistance keeping a number of ongoing projects on track – meeting deliverable goals within targeted timeframes and budget, identifying and escalating roadblocks, and identifying resource concerns.

The successful candidate will have:

• PMP Certification

• Ability to develop a detailed project plan to track project performance, specifically to analyze the successful completion of short and long term goals

• Flexibility to develop various reporting documents/presentations, as required

• Ability to create and maintain comprehensive project documentation

• Excellent leadership abilities – with the capacity to lead and effectively delegate to a group with diverse skill sets on a variety of projects

• Ability to collaborate effectively and work as part of a team

• Ability to deliver a project on time, within budget and scope

• Strong organizational skills

• Ability to effectively ensure resource availability and allocation

• Ability to thrive under time constraints and deadline pressure

• Ability being comfortable working with uncertainty

• Ability to proactively design and lead a project with minimal direction

• Critical thinking and decision making skills

• Excellent client-facing communication skills – ability to forge and maintain professional relationships with stakeholders

• Skills to perform risk management to minimize project risks

• Attention to detail and accuracy

• Experience presenting final project results and observations

• Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint

Preferred, but not required:

• Microsoft Access

• IDEA or ACL
