Leidos Personnel/Training SME in HAMPTON, Virginia


Leidos has an opening for a Personnel/Training SME at Langley AFB. Candidates must possess a current Secret clearance with the ability to obtain a TS/SCI.

Reviews and analyzes information from Core Personnel Documents, organizational charts, and Unit Manpower Documents to determine solutions for manpower problems, and advises management. Advises of conflicts between duties assigned to positions and Air Force Specialty Code duty descriptions. Participates in all aspects of civilian employment planning. Makes recommendations regarding the impact of proposed reorganizations/position restructures on other positions within the organization, manpower requirements, overall organizational structure, and/or financial resources. Consults, as necessary, with other HR specialists and with representatives of the Manpower and Budget Offices.

Determines adequacy of Core Personnel Documents; conducts employee or supervisory audits to determine accuracy of the Documents; resolves areas of inaccuracy; determines title, pay plan, series, grade level, and skill codes. Submits positions for classification IAW classification standards, precedent-setting appeal decisions, and other guidance. Maintains rapport through effective communication of findings to include explaining fine grade-level distinctions and classification rationale.

Coordinates with the MAJCOM and higher echelon Training Manager to identify training opportunities and assists with course quota management. Advises squadron personnel of any course prerequisites. Helps identify skills, upgrades, and similar development programs that will meet mission objectives and war readiness capabilities. Monitors training requirements to ensure personnel are trained, requirements are accurately documented, and training records are updated. Stays abreast of new training developments/processes/procedures to acquire needed training tools/mechanisms. Consults with organizational leadership to identify training requirements and ensures higher headquarters directives are fulfilled.


Required Skills:

Applicants must possess a Bachelor’s degree and 6 years of related experience. OR 10 years of related experience. Secret clearance is required. Ability to obtain TS/SCI.

Highly Desired:

Experience with Defense Civilian Personnel Data System (DCPDS), Defense Civilian Intelligence Personnel System (DCIPS), & MyBiz.
