As an inspired student of Stratford University, you are uniquely what we are searching for to fill this position. You will be given the opportunity to gain job experience, while helping shape Stratford University. Greeting visitors with a smile and a warm welcome are essential for this role. The Domestic Student Worker will report directly to the Campus Leadership team.
Essential Job Functions:
Welcome all visitors and address any inquiries
Joyfully complete assigned administrative duties.
Demonstrate courteous communication skills both orally and in writing
Conduct all activities in accordance with the highest ethical standards
Report directly to the Director of Admissions
The student worker will assist the admissions department by conducting follow-up/reminder phone calls to increase the admissions appointment show rate.
Assist Admissions Administrative Assistant with data entry for new students and re-admitted students.
Represent the college at career fairs and other community outreach initiatives by providing general admissions information.
Conduct campus tours when needed
Assist with in-house marketing efforts for open house, new student orientation and other campus events.
Strong personal accountability and unwavering attention to detail in meeting assignments
Ability to work independently, make independent judgments, and multi-task
High energy, outgoing personality/friendly and professional attitude
Commitment to quality service to students, faculty, and staff
Initiative to do what is needed, self-motivation and the ability to function efficiently and effectively within a team and in a fast-paced environment
Good oral, written, reporting and presentation communication skills
Identifies key barriers/core problems and applies problem solving skills in order to deal creatively with complex situations.
Required Education and Experience:
Current student at Stratford University
Good general business knowledge
Proven ability to function in a for-profit environment
Workweek not to exceed 25 hours/week
Some evenings and weekends may be required
