Description
Ft. Belvoir Community Hospital is looking for a junior level SharePoint Developer with SharePoint 2007 and 2010 development and configuration experience. This role will be a team member working with the Web Services Chief and Team Leaders to support the SharePoint Portal. Duties will be a mixture of supporting existing SharePoint applications, and working on new development and integration with other computer systems.
The ideal candidate shall have a service first focus on Mission” mentality and attitude putting the Wounded Warrior, the Families of the Wounded Warrior, and current active and retired Military members first. Additionally, the ideal candidate must be well written and articulate; they must be able to articulate complex systems to both technical and non-technical teams clearly.
Education
1 (one) academic year in computer science/development
Experience
Out-Of-The-Box SharePoint customization is a must, i.e. list, calendars, document libraries, content types, site columns, list views. The ability to support existing SharePoint sites and content is a must. Knowledge of and configuration experience with Shared Service Providers (SSP), SharePoint 2010 Services, configuration and troubleshooting skills with IIS, SSL, DNS, and AD is a plus.
This is an entry level position, so the ideal candidate is someone who understands the basics of Object Oriented Development.
1 (one) to 2 (two) year’s commercial work experience. It is not expected this role to have extensive software engineering background to begin; however, is willing to do whatever it takes” to expand and grow their software development and SharePoint professional skills.
Specific software and SharePoint skills are coding using SharePoint Designer and Visual Studio 2008, 2010 using C# or VB.NET. Understanding of Event Receivers, Feature Receivers, and custom Action Scripts is highly desired. The junior SharePoint developer must have a basic understanding of the SharePoint Object Model, and will be able to build custom applications under the mentorship and guidance of senior developers.
Experience working with custom KPI, dashboards, PerformancePoint, BDC/BCS, Information Architecture, Metadata Services, Single Sign On/Secure Store, custom branding is a HUGE plus.
Awareness of standards organizations and process methodology such as SEI, CMMI, PMI, IEEE, ACM, and ISO is a plus. Awareness of Army Regulations, Public Laws, and Governance methodologies commonly governing DoD organizations is also a plus.

• Object Oriented development, Lambda Expressions, Generics, Anonymous methods.
• Quality control development, XSS vulnerabilities, CAT.NET, CAF, FxCop, SPDisposeCheck, DISA/DICAP/STIG, Team Foundation Server.
• Adobe Master Collection CS4/5 (Photoshop, Flash & Fireworks)
