Recruiting Coordinator

The Recruiting Coordinator is responsible for guiding PAE’s National Security Solutions (NSS) candidates through the hiring process. The goal of our recruiting team is to provide a world class recruiting experience to all of our candidates.

At the time a candidate has been selected for a position, the Recruiting Coordinator establishes a relationship with the candidate and takes them through the rest of the process ending with the day that individual starts in their job. This position coordinates all pre-employment paperwork, background checks, drug screens, visas, and letters of authorization. The position will liaise with other departments including Recruiting, Security, Travel, HR, and Operations to ensure all requirements are met as expeditiously as possible.

The successful candidate will be customer service oriented and have a strong attention to detail. This position will be responsible for 20+ candidates at any given point, so the ability to multi-task and stay organized is essential.

Essential Job Duties:

  • Establishes a relationship with every candidate assigned to them, educates the candidate and prepares them for employment; has a friendly demeanor but holds each candidate accountable to deadlines

  • Guides candidates through pre-employment paperwork, ensures all documents are filled out correctly and all information requirements are met

  • Initiates background checks and schedules drug screens

  • Liaises with Security and ensures candidates are staying on track to meet security paperwork timelines

  • Coordinates start date with Operations team and HR

  • During slower periods, may assist with recruiting tasks

  • Evenings, weekends, and travel may be required to support business requirements during surge periods which includes: proposals, high volume recruiting periods, and contract awards

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration Human Resources, Communications, or a related field

  • Two or more years of experience in a recruiting assistant/coordinator, customer service, or HR assistant role

  • Prior experience with applicant tracking systems preferred

  • Customer service oriented, helpful, patient, honest and transparent

  • Record setting attention to detail, covers all bases, and takes no shortcuts

  • Proactive self-starter able to engage candidates; anticipates and preempts problems

  • Effective communicator, clearly outlines expectations and respectfully holds people accountable
