Position Description:AMTIS, Inc. is seeking qualified individuals to perform the coordination of vessel repair efforts with the U.S. Army Watercraft Inspection Branch (WIB) and operational Army active and reserve units/commands to interface repair efforts.Required Qualifications:At least 10 years' experience in surveying the repair of vessel hulls, machinery, piping, auxiliary machinery; and at least 10 years' experience in power distribution systems, navigation, communication and vessel automation systems.Preferred Qualifications:Prior U.S. Army service; preferably Sergeant First Class (E7) or Chief Warrant Officer CW3 rank or higher.Essential Functions:Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.Coordinate vessel repair efforts with WIB and operational Army active and reserve units/commands to interface repair efforts.Assess and coordinate vessel technical support efforts.Engage and communicate with WIB leadership and the units/commands that own and operate Army watercraft.Work Conditions:Work is performed in an office environment, in the shipyard and on board ship.This document is not intended to cover or contain a comprehensive listing of all job related activities, duties or responsibilities that are required of the employee.
