ICF s Health, Education and Social Programs division provides federal, State, and other clients with a wide range of technical assistance, research and evaluation services. Our work focuses on important human services issues; uses proven and innovative methods for delivering high-quality, timely technical assistance; seeks to inform stakeholders of best practices; and involves working closely with clients to ensure that training and technical assistance support services are relevant, useful, and make a difference. Within the division, the Justice/Victim Services partners with federal and state clients to support victim service providers and allied professionals working with crime victims.
We are currently seeking a Research Assistant to work within our Justice/Victim Services domain. Primary responsibilities for this position will involve supporting the project manager on victim services/human trafficking training and technical assistance projects. Research Assistants will contribute to the development of innovative, high quality products and services in support for multiple projects. Research Assistants at ICF often advance in our consulting practice or enroll in outstanding graduate programs around the country.
The position is full-time and based at ICF s headquarters office in Fairfax, Virginia.
Support training and technical assistance activities for federal human trafficking and victim services programs and initiatives. Conduct victim services/human trafficking training and technical assistance activities, including providing online support to grantees, stakeholders, and requesters, conducting research, and providing meeting/training/site visit support as necessary. Provide help desk/call center, and webinar support as necessary. This includes triaging incoming requests as needed. Assist in developing and preparing client deliverables, training products, and weekly/monthly reports. Support data collection and data entry as necessary. Assist with conference and meeting planning tasks. Support business development activities, including proposal support, as requested. Support other tasks as needed (i.e., maintaining deliverables files, online client dashboard)
Bachelor Degree with minimum 3.0 GPA Entry Level Demonstrated proficiency in MS Office products: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook. Interest in victim services, human trafficking, family and youth issues
Experience conducting research and preparing technical assistance responses Experience providing general project support, such as activity tracking, task coordination, and document formatting
Excellent verbal, oral, interpersonal, and written communication skills. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision making capabilities. Ability to be flexible, multi-task, prioritize, and manage multiple activities simultaneously in a fast-paced, changing environment. Ability to work across multiple projects simultaneously and be accountable to multiple team leads Strong team player with the ability to take initiative and work well independently. Superior attention to detail and the ability to meet stringent deadlines.
