Chesterfield County Principal Maintenance Worker in Chesterfield, Virginia

Minimum Qualifications:

High school diploma or GED and two years of experience in grounds maintenance work; or an equivalent combination of training and experience. Good oral/written communication, interpersonal and public relations skills needed; must possess or obtain within nine months of employment, a Registered Technician Pesticide License. Good driving record required. Must not reflect a total accumulation of six or more negative points within the past three years or a major violation within the past four years. Pre-employment drug testing, FBI criminal background check and education/degree verification required.


Perform grounds maintenance tasks including litter removal, mowing and repairs to fixtures; turf management (seeding, fertilizing, etc.); athletic field maintenance; minor construction and other related tasks; operate various types of equipment and power tools; perform carpentry and plumbing tasks; lift 50 pounds or more. Perform other work as required.


Monday - Friday; 7:00a.m. - 3:30p.m.; includes some evenings, weekends and holidays.
