Chemonics seeks training managers to support the training team within the Operations Division of the Global Health and Supply Chain (GHSC) Office. The GHSC Office includes Chemonics’ Global Health Division, the Supply Chain Solutions Division, two support divisions, and the USAID Global Health Supply Chain Program-Procurement and Supply Management (GHSC-PSM) project. The project is the primary vehicle through which USAID 1) procures and provides health commodities, 2) provides technical assistance to improve partner countries’ management of the supply chain, and 3) collaborates with key international stakeholders to support global health initiatives.
The training managers will produce scalable training content for a designated target audience within the GHSC Office, inclusive of the Global Health Supply Chain Procurement and Supply Management (GHSC-PSM) and other projects. This role will work closely with GHSC-PSM staff and the InDepth team (the knowledge sharing and learning hub for Chemonics' global workforce) to design, create, implement, and maintain instructional content in a hybrid learning environment for a diverse audience. This position collaborates with stakeholders and subject matter experts from the project to assess learning needs, design and implement content, and review learning outcomes. Develop and customize innovative, high-quality trainings and learning objects for a designated target audience within SCS and PSM
Collaborate with subject matter experts (SME) to design, create, implement, and maintain trainings for a global audience
Perform needs assessments and task analyses, and evaluate existing documentation to identify appropriate training approaches and content
Create engaging knowledge-checks, simulations, and assessments based on learning and performance objectives
Independently create storyboards, audio, and video scripts, job aids, scenarios and case studies, learning activities, and course content
Collaborate with technical SMEs to create online/web applications, infographics, learning assessments, and user guides using sound instructional design theory
Maintain and develop course templates, models, standards, and procedures
Stay abreast of the latest trends and best-practices in the eLearning and instructional design community to aid experimentation
Foster and demonstrate a workplace inclusive of creating opportunity, serving others, building trust, innovation and exceeding expectations
Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree in a relevant field, such as instructional design, instructional systems design, or Education Technology preferred
Minimum three years experience implementing and/or designing trainings and capacity building activities
Experience translating technical-functional content into an enjoyable and consumable user experience
Experience using authoring tools (e.g. Lectora, Adobe Captivate, Camtasia, Adobe Creative Suite) strongly preferred
Profciency in Java, HTML, or CSS strongly preferred
Experience managing or supporting supply chain, global supply chain, or health supply chain projects strongly preferred
Experience developing globalized content and applying localization approach for context specific audiences preferred
Familiarity with successive approximation model or agile software design preferred
Familiarity with EdCast or a similar social learning platforms is desirable
Strong graphics skills to create style guides, course templates, web applications, graphic user interfaces, flow charts, etc.; graphic design experience using tools such as Adobe Creative Suite preferred
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Demonstrated leadership, versatility, and integrity
