CACI International Test Engineer 2 in Alexandria, Virginia
Join CACI as a Mid-level Tester supporting our Department of Defense customer. Under general supervision, perform various tests related to the testing of information technology products, equipment or systems. Define test parameters, design tests, interpret test results and analyze test trends. Investigate and analyze unique or customer-related issues relating to test failure. Interface with customers, vendors, and all company departments to resolve technical and quality problems.
Maintains, and executes manual and automated test standards for the testing of information technology products, equipment or systems.
Tests software releases during the product development. Provides some technical expertise on specific products, operating systems and specialized environments.
Assists in the development of test plans and test procedures.
Works on test processes and requirements documents.
Configures necessary hardware and operating environments as needed to complete assigned testing.
Participates in the development of test environments using test automation tools and agile methods.
Identifies risks and provides mitigation strategies and options.
Collaborates with product management and technical writers to ensure manuals are in synch with the software to ensure that quality is 'built in' from the ground up.
Interfaces with customers, vendors, and various company departments to resolve problems that cause test failures.
Documents usable test engineering data applicable to the assignment.
Studies information from suppliers regarding materials and components to be utilized.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
Typically requires bachelor’s degree or equivalent, and two to four years of related experience.
U.S. citizenship and a Secret level clearance
Experience interacting with customers/users
Experience working in mission critical, fast-paced environments
Experience writing test cases, Microsoft Test Manager preferred
