Position Summary:

Leidos has an opening on a FBI DNA Database program. The ideal candidate will be well rounded in a wide variety of IT support functions.

Duties and Responsibilties:

-The candidate will be responsible for designing and maintaining the LAN/WAN infrastructure for the production and development systems in a Microsoft Windows Server environment.

-Maintaining the Microsoft Windows Update Services (WSUS) for the production environment.

-Assess, coordinate, and develop solutions based on objectives and requirements and prepare/integrate systems into existing/new architecture and infrastructure.

-Perform remote installation/configuration of the FBI DNA software and provide technical support for Certification and Accreditation efforts.

Assist in resolving Tier III Help Desk tickets for software deployed at facilities worldwide.

-The successful candidate will interact daily with supervisors, team members, and the customer.

-Must be able to exercise independent judgment within broadly defined practices and policies in selecting methods, techniques and criteria for obtaining results to ensure project schedules, and performance requirements are met.

Qualifications:

Required Qualifications:

-Current TOP SECRET Clearance required.

-Bachelor’s degree in computer science, or related technical discipline and 8 years of operating systems and networking support experience.

-Experience with Microsoft Windows Server 2008/2012, SQL Server 2012, Active Directory and group polices.

-Candidate must have experience with SonicWall firewalls, Cisco routers, switches, and network troubleshooting.

-Additional experience with Virtual Private Network (VPN) systems, secure remote access solutions, and Microsoft public key infrastructure (PKI) and a plus.

-The candidate must be a self-starter with the motivation to learn new assignments.

-Excellent technical, communication (written & oral) and time management skills, as well as, the ability to visualize/execute remote software deployment projects are essential.

-Ability to actively participate in the development of software and hardware testing, database migration, integration, and implementation plans for various state and local government agencies.

-Candidate must have the ability to execute assigned tasks with a high degree of independence.

Desired Skills:

-Ability to maintain WSUS system for over 1000 nodes.

-Ability to efficiently work with remote network staff in troubleshooting firewall rules and infrastructure communications in a PKI environment.

-Have previous work experience supporting Microsoft Windows 8/Windows Server 2012 in a corporate environment.

-Windows security patch and vulnerability management.
